Using clinically tested and evidence based techniques, I have worked with adults, children and adolescents along with their parents in Dr. Shapiro’s practice since 2001.  My strong sense of empathy allows me to connect with individuals and help them realize their full potential. My goal is to provide an environment in which each individual feels valued and respected allowing change to feel possible and obtainable.   I have two decades of experience working with individuals in all levels of care including inpatient, residential care, foster care, as well as the traditional home environment.  I earned my Master’s Degree from Xavier University in Clinical and Community Counseling and hold a License in Professional Clinical Counseling in both the states of Ohio and Kentucky.  Successfully treated individuals with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Family issues and parenting support
  • Foster parenting
  • Academic and school adjustment
  • Issues related to transitioning to Adulthood
  • Divorce adjustment
